NEW CHALLENGE TO THE NORTH INDIAN MARKET….!!

founded at Avinashi, by entrepreneur and visionary, Mr.
K.R.Nagarajan. The company's vision - to deliver quality men's ethnic wearRamraj Cotton, the apparel
manufacturer has launched formal and casual shirts as
part of expanding its product portfolio. The company, which has its presence in
the four southern states, is planning to expand to North India through franchisees very soon.
Ramraj cottons coming up in the
northern part of India not only improves the traditional ethnic fashion but
also gives an opportunity of employment to many people who are in need of job
to carry forward their family along. The company can capture the northern markets as Ramraj has a brand name in south because of their quality and service
they render.
The traditional ethnic wear makes fit
and perfect for festive seasons. The company can add up Loyalty points to help
customers shop more and redeem the points after certain amount of
purchases. Ramraj cotton helps in Social issues by getting people

The
30-year-old company makes white-only garments across product categories like
shirts, dothis, innerwear, tops and kurtis for women and Kerala-style mundu and
sarees. With its foray into the northern markets, the company also plans to
make kurta-pajama sets. Its products come in pure cotton, poly cotton, linen
and silk.
The company has invested Rs 50 crore to expand its manufacturing facilities to cater to demand from across the country. "Our facilities could make 10,000 shirts a day and we have expanded capacities to now make 30,000 shirts a day to meet demand from the new markets," Nagarajan said.
Ramraj currently has a turnover of about Rs 600
crore, with dothis contributing about 65% to the revenues. Ramraj is targeting
revenues of Rs 1,000 crore for the next financial year 2014-15 with the launch
of its range of casual shirts for the youth, and its foray into new markets. About Rs 50 crore of these revenues come from exports to
countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Ceylon and Dubai.
Ramraj cotton will be a successful in north india as it is
successful in south india. About 1/12 of its revenue is generated by exporting
to different countries. So it will be great competitor to the north indian
cotton industries.
